Can You Relate To This?
If that sounds like you, you’re not alone. At Home Therapy Solutions we see this type of thing all the time. In fact, people who come to see us have often.
- Been given a one size fits all treatment. Our OT and PT team has years of experience and will provide you with services above and beyond services you will find elsewhere. We provide high quality individualized treatments that are effective and fun.
- Paid several visits to an OT/PT but they never took the time to help your caregiver understand their role? Caregiver training is essential to the well being of the client and caregiver. All caregivers need to be trained, whether it is a spouse, child, neighbor, or hired caregiver.
- Gone to a “traditional” OT/PT and your plan of care was not suitable for your current environment?
- Been told by a friend or family member that everyone feels this way as they get older – making it easy to accept it as a part of life.
- Been told following a stroke that you cannot regain lost function. Or, have you been taught to compensate for lost function? Our therapists have years of experience working with clients with all types of neurological impairments. In many settings, clients are getting cookie cutter treatments that are not individualized to what the client actually needs.
From the Owner
Kara Welke, OTD, OTR/L, CLT, Skills2Care, SHSS, CAP
Kara started Home Therapy Solutions to fill an unmet need in the Grand Forks Community and Surrounding area ~ Quality, Client-Centered Care in the natural environment! Her ultimate goal was to help as many people as possible stay in their home as they age while maintaining their optimal health and overall Quality of Life.
Traditional Health Care focuses on the client and neglects the caregivers. Kara believes that it is integral to involve the client and their caregivers in the therapy sessions for maximum outcome. Further, the community has many wonderful resources and Home Therapy Solutions strives to connect their clients with these resources. Home Therapy Solutions focuses on Collaboration not Competition!
Traditional health care also tends to focus on productivity and profit and utilizes tools that are not client centered. Home Therapy Solutions strives to focus on the client and what they need. Home Therapy Solutions provides therapy in the natural setting to optimize independence where it is most important.
We’re Growing
Since 2018, Home Therapy Solutions has grown as the needs of the community and clients have changed. Home Therapy Solutions now has a clinic for those that want to get out of the home. We have also expanded our services to include needs for women’s health as it has been a huge need within our community.
